Happy 2017,

As my tenure as President of the Federation comes to an end, I am hopeful that the new Leadership of the Federation will find new and innovated ways to encourage growth in our club’s membership.  Our group is filled with many wonderful and very successful people.

It is very important for all Members to understand that in most cases, “you get what you put in” or in other words, it is up to you to get the most benefit from being associated with the Federation of Chinese Golf Clubs.

It has always been my intent to lead by example:  I attended most Federation Events; successfully increased the number of my SCGC Members attending Federation Events; used many of the services provided by other Federation Members including, doctors, lawyers, real estate professionals, appraisers, contractors, etc… and continue to be President of the Sacramento Chinese Golf Club.

Federation and Club officers put forth a lot of time and efforts in trying to make our clubs successful.  We get our “thanks” from the increased participation in our events and the “hope” that our efforts will help grow our clubs.

I have come to an understanding that life could be short or health problems that could prevent you from doing things that you desire to do.  IF POSSIBLE, DO NOT WAIT TILL TOMORROW…  You need to make time to enjoy your family, friends and the game of golf.  Take out your schedule and “mark the dates”.  Plan your travel, golf outings and do it while you can.

Sacramento is hosting our Memorial Day event in Reno on May 19 – 21, 2017.  We will be playing Toiyabe (practice round), Lakeridge and Wolf Run.  I have planned several meals and entertainment for Saturday night.  GOLF, GAMBLING, ENTERTAINMENT, FOOD & DRINKS…   We will have a lot of fun!!!

Portland is hosting their Labor Day event on September 1 – 3, 2017.  We will be playing the Reserve Vineyards and the OGA.  Portland has always been one of the best organized Federation events.

I am looking forward to a wonderful 2017 and hope to see you all in Sacramento and/or Portland.

Happy New Year!
