When a member or guest agrees to play in a tournament and sends in his or her payment, Foon Hay commits to a contract with a golf course for the tournament. Foon Hay must pay the Golf Course for everyone who signed up to play. If the player does not show up, he/she will receive a refund only if:a. The tournament is canceled or postponed, orb. The Golf Course does not charge Foon Hay for the no-show, or
c. Replacement players are found
For situation (a), the entire amount will be refunded.
For situation (b), the amount less $2.00 for bank charges will be refunded.
For situation (c), the refund will by reduced by $2.00, but, if there are more no-shows than replacement players, the refund will be pro-rated equally (less $2.00 each) among the no-shows.
In practice: Entry fee checks are deposited after the tournament occurs. If any of the above occur and we are able to, your check will be returned or destroyed. Only if the check has been deposited and we need to process a refund will the $2.00 bank charge be applied.
