Foon Hay Seniors Golf Club

Club Championship 2024

Club Championships are determined by the best 4 scores throughout the year during Foon Hay tournaments, net score relative to par.

Flights are determined based on NCGA Handicap Index on February 1. Competitors retain the A or B designation throughout the year subject to review by the Executive Board at a regular meeting. A CC Total is calculated once a player reaches 4 plays. A name is dropped when unable to get in 4 rounds before end of championship year (November).

Procedures/Rules

The winners are declared Club Champions based on the total of the best four net scores relative to par during Foon Hay tournaments as published on the Foon Hay web site. If a golfer plays less than four rounds, they are not eligible to become Club Champion.

Championship flights were fixed for the year in February based on scores posted to GHIN. As handicaps go up and down during the year, individuals will stay within their A-B designation subject to tweaks done by the Board. Divisions between A and B are based on handicap indexes.

Starting in September, if there are not enough tournaments left to obtain a qualifying total, the golfer's name will be dropped from the listing above.
