2013 Maui Invitational Golf Tournament

November 8-10
Day 3
Today the 180 Federation golfers split up and played the Kalihi Golf Course and King Kamehameha Golf Course. This was the first of two days of competition in flights for the major awards. The day was a mixture of sun, clouds, sprinkles and some heavier rain as most groups finished their rounds. This reporter will not be among the low scores, but there was one individual net score of 57! Have to check someone's handicap..... When last seen, Rocky and his committee were busily entering scores into the computer so they could made final determinations tomorrow more quickly for the skins competition and Joe Young and committee were working with the King Kamehameha pro shop staff to get the scoring in good order.

Tomorrow the players move to the other course for their second round. And after the round of golf, everyone returns to the course for an awards banquet. I plan to include photos from the festivities.

Here are a few photos from the day at Kalihi:

Haleakala peeks out from the clouds for the first
time. Very scenic.

If you're a good golfer, you don't even notice
the water between you and the green.

Yep, those clouds sure look like rain!
