2013 Maui Invitational Golf Tournament November 8-10 |

Day 4 Today like yesterday, the 180
Federation golfers split up and played the Kalihi Golf
Course and King Kamehameha Golf Course. This was the
second of two days of competition in flights for the major
awards. As luck would have it, the King Kamehameha course
received over 4 inches of rain the previous night and they
delayed the start of the round. While waiting for things
to dry out, more and more rain came until the round was
cancelled. Kahili, which is next door, is actually lower
in altitude and they received less rain. So play began for
the players on that course. At this writing, the author
has not learned how things went, although intuition says
that it could have been a damp round.
There's going to be a "Day 4B" with pictures from the awards dinner and a summary of the big winners. Here are a few photos from the day: |

A view to the east - Haleakala with the practice tees in the foreground |
Lots of practice putting, but no golf ensued. |
Taiko drums kicked things off with a spirited routine. |
As golfers at King Kamehameha waited, they used the clubhouse eaves to keep dry. |
Waiting over at Kahili, trying to stay dry. |
Peaceful scene between two rain showers. |
The long list of sponsors who helped make the 2013 tournament possible. Thank you! |
No golf, no golfers, only clouds and rain.... |
Oh well, time to take in the football game in the clubhouse. |
